World Architecture Community Awards
WA 20+10+X Awards is an international Architectural Awards Program of the World Architecture Community that recognizes remarkable projects that might otherwise remain unnoticed by the international public but have the potential to inspire exciting questions about contemporary architectural discourse.
This Awards program is repeated in cycles and also contains an extensive international publication program of the results in collaboration with Architectural journals in all countries. Each cycle receives approximately 1100 projects out of which 250 projects become short-listed. The winning 20 projects out of the short-listed projects are selected by the votes of the Honorary Members.

Description
Set on a sloping land overlooking the Historic Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, across the Kandy Lake, the owner, Jayampathi Aluvihare, and his family enjoy the luxury of a unique house in a prestigious location in Kandy. The panoramic view has become the main influence on the design while the topography of the land and the height restrictions, imposed by the local authority have provided enough constraints for the design process.

Description
This house sits on a 13 perch land and is situated at an isolated dead end, away from the main roads. The land is surrounded by large empty lands on three sides and a halfway done house on one side.
